LIPI library, a US-based startup that aims to bring South Asian literature to the digital world, approached me last year asking if they can use some of my translations. I agreed to let them use my translation of akkā (அக்கா) by the veteran Tamil writer A. Muttulingam. (with his consent of course!). They are currently in the process of uploading the stories on to the LIPI library website.

A few months ago, one of their founders, Samkyutha Ganeshkumar, interviewed me for their podcast. The interview is now up on their youtube channel.

In the interview, I referred to Shobasakthi. If you haven’t read his stories, I recommend them highly. If you can read Tamil, you can find his works on his website. If you can’t, then check out my English translations of some of his short stories. The particular story I mentioned, Gold Line, was published in Copper Nickel last month. Unfortunately, the story is only accessible to subscribers right now. I have requested the editor to make it publicly accessible.
